New HP A867 USB DVB-T TV TUNER RECEIVER
- The HP USB DVB-T TV tuner allows your computer to receive Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial (DVB-T ) signals. DVB-T is a digital terrestrial television broadcast over the air and received through an antenna. DVB-T is an implementation of digital technology to provide a greater number of channels and better quality of picture and sound using aerial broadcasts to a conventional antenna (or aerial) instead of a satellite dish or cable connection.
- When connected to a working DVB-T signal source, the TV tuner enables you to watch, record, and pause live TV on the computer. You can also record your favorite digital TV shows and watch them at any time.
- The TV tuner receives terrestrial digital TV broadcasts only and does not support encrypted channels. In certain areas, broadcasters may charge you a fee to receive digital broadcasts. Contact the broadcasters in your area to determine if you must register to receive digital broadcasts. Failure to register with the broadcaster before receiving digital broadcasts may be considered a criminal offense.
- Do not use the TV tuner for such purposes.
After you set up the TV tuner for the first time, you will need to run the Setup Wizard. If you change your TV tuner connection or add components to your system, you may need to run the Setup Wizard again toreconfigure the settings. - The TV tuner is designed to be used with the Windows® 7 or Windows Vista® operating system, and Windows Media Center. Other third-party programs may work with the TV tuner, but they are not supported by HP.
